With VORTEX 2 operations complete all I had to do was find a way to Wichita, KS for my flight on the 17th. Jim LaDue and the NSSL crew brought me to Norman, OK on the 16th where I got to tour the National Weather Center. I was planning on hitching a ride back with someone from the Norman, OK crew when I departed...however I did not expect to end up in the TX Panhandle and have to get back north. After struggling to find a rental car at a decent price I finally caught a break from AVIS for a one way rental to Wichita, KS. I arrived in Wichita in the early evening and waited for my plane to leave Thursday afternoon. Here are some final stats from the trip:

Number of States Chased: 8

Number of Days on VORTEX 2: 11

Number of Tornadoes witnessed: 6

Number of Pictures taken: 1,704

Total Distance: 6,797 miles

Here are some pictures taken of me on VORTEX 2 taken by various people on the project.  Special thanks to Katelyn Pfeister, Rachel Humphrey, Tim Marshall, Carrie Cunningham, Ed Smith, Ryan McGinnis and Erin Jones for the pictures.
