These were the dates for my annual chasecation...the last 2 weeks in
May of 2009. A strong ridge of high pressure was in place across the
plains...preventing supercells from forming. Despite some action during
the early part of the month...May
2009 went down as the least active May since 1992 with only 100 Severe
and Tornado Watches issued! The only action was a garden variety
thunderstorm I caught near Flint on May 29th.
