the eastern Rockies and rolling through
Nebraska and Kansas. My first Storm Chase.
May
25, 2001 - Cold core low day
over Southern Wisconsin with low-topped convection.
June
16, 2001 - Severe Thunderstorm over Central Wisconsin with
outflow making it to Northern Illinois.
June
30, 2001 - Thunderstorm development
over Southern Wisconsin with a warm, moist and unstable airmass.
April
18, 2002 - Severe thunderstorms
over Central Wisconsin.
May
30, 2002 - Severe thunderstorms with
numerous funnel clouds over Northeast Wisconsin.
June
13, 2002 - Cold Air funnels reported
across Northeast Wisconsin.
April
4, 2003 - OK not a storm chase but plenty
of ice across northern Wisconsin...where else was I going to put this?

3-8, 2003 - Storm chase all over the country from Wisconsin
to the Texas panhandle.
August
21, 2003 - Great lightning show over
Green Bay.

13-15, 2004 - Driving to our target area of
northern Nebraska where we see a single cell thunderstorm.
May
16, 2004 - Many severe storms over north central
Nebraska as a cold front sinks southward through the state.
May
17, 2004 - The best day of them all. A nice
supercell over north central Kansas interacting with the front and
producing textbook cloud photos.
May
18-21, 2004 - After a few bust days some
opportunistic chasing in Wisconsin on the way home.
June
13, 2004 - Thunderstorm moves through
the Green Bay area and produces an impressive looking shelf cloud.
May
20-21, 2005 - Driving to Kansas with our first
bust day.
May
22, 2005 - Driving to Oklahoma for our second
bust day.
May 23, 2005 - Our first day with storms as upslope brings us to northeast Colorado.
May 24, 2005 - A very active day with upslope in northeast colorado and southwest Nebraska as a gustnado is spotted.
May 25, 2005 - Upslope action heads south to New Mexico as another supercell develops.
May 26, 2005 - The third bust day as we spend the time at Sandia Peak near Albuquerque.
May 27, 2005 - A big supercell develops in New Mexico as we watch the storm that brings hail to Las Vegas.
May 28, 2005 - Last day a bust day but a very worthwhile trip nonetheless. Includes a video summary set to music of the entire chase.
September 21, 2005 - Some great lightning shots as a cold front moves through the area.
June 3-4, 2006 - Met up with the chase group and had our first bust day in Nebraska.
June 5, 2006 - Missed a brief tornado spin up in South Dakota with very photogenic clouds on the way back.
June 6, 2006 - Drove to Colorado expecting the upslope to aid convection. Only caught some dust devils as the convection did not make it very far east.
June 7, 2006 - A cluster of storms develops into a Supercell over central Nebraska with a tornado near Arnold. A great lightning show ensues later that night.
June 8, 2006 - Another bust day in north central Nebraska as temperatures topped the century mark.
June 9, 2006 - Although the storms did not develop as planned a few quick gustnadoes were observed in Northwest Iowa.
June 10, 2006 - Last chase day was a semi bust with lightning show on the way back through Missouri. Includes a video summary of the entire chase set to music.
June 18, 2006 - Large cell to the southeast of Green Bay provided great Mammatus clouds.
September 2, 2006 - Very interesting clouds that turn out to be scud.
May 19-20, 2007 - Met up with the chase team and have our first chase in Wyoming as rain obstructs a tornado. Includes a video of the chase.
May 21, 2007 - Chased a supercell near Bismarck, North Dakota that produced a tornado. Includes a video of the full tornado evolution.
May 22, 2007 - Chased several supercells in Northern Kansas where we see several funnel clouds...but miss out on the tornado.
May 23, 2007 - Chased several supercells in Oklahoma and Texas with a possible Tornado.
May 24-25, 2007 - The severe weather potential does not look that great so we call it a week. Took some pics of the flooding in Kansas. Includes a video summary of the entire chase set to music.
February 16-17, 2008 - The 10th Annual National Storm Chaser Convention.
May 22, 2008 - Multiple tornado sightings in Kansas as several supercells interact with a warm front.
May 23, 2008 - Multiple tornado sightings in Kansas with a similar setup from the previous day.
May 24, 2008 - Chased a fast moving supercell in Nebraska and caught a brief funnel cloud.
May 25, 2008 - Wrap up the chase week with some convection east of KC.
June 2, 2008 - Caught a shelf cloud outside my house.
